In Tamil Nadu 1.2 Crores of women that is 15.83% of women (8 Million or 80 Lakhs) in rural areas and 6.54% of women (4 Million or 40 Lakhs) in urban areas living in poverty .
Action for Rural Improvement and Socio-Economic Service (ARISES) Trust empowers rural communities, focusing on women’s Development, Education, and Healthcare. Established in 2014, it provides Vocational Training, Self-Help Groups, and Livelihood support. Collaborating with Government and NGOs, ARISES enhances Sanitation, Healthcare, and Education, Fostering Self-Sufficiency and Social progress.
ARISES Trust’s Holistic Rural Development (HRD) projects in Dindigul improve sanitation, employment, and renewable energy. Its Green Feminine initiative empowered many women to create eco-friendly products. The trust also offers free coaching for disadvantaged students and organizes health camps. Through dedicated leadership and partnerships, ARISES continues to uplift marginalized communities and promote sustainable development.
ARISES primarily operates in Selected Blocks of Dindigul District , Tamil Nadu, focusing on empowering
communities in aspirational blocks under the Integrated Rural Community Development programs
ARISES forms Self-Help Groups (SHGs), offers Vocational Training, and promotes Eco-friendly businesses through Green Feminine, helping many women gain financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
ARISES provides Free Coaching, Scholarships, and Vocational Training for Minority Students, reducing dropouts and improving career opportunities, especially for girls in rural communities.
ARISES conducts Medical Camps, supports Maternal and Child Health, and promotes Hygiene Awareness among Adolescent girls, ensuring better healthcare access in Rural and Tribal areas.
ARISES runs a Deaddiction and Rehabilitation Centre, providing counseling, medical care, and vocational training to help individuals recover from substance abuse and reintegrate into society.
